Looking For a Good Book?

There are tons of books out there, some are good and some are really bad. Sometimes it can be very helpful to have a starting place. This list is not exhaustive by any means but will provide a good starting place. Hope you enjoy and are edified by what these men and women have to teach us about God's word. 

Basics

Sometimes we just need a good place to start. Thre are a lot of things that are hard to understand. These books can give if a good starting place.

Reformation Study Bible

A good study Bible is always a good place to start. With R.C. Sproul as the general editor, this study Bible will help anyone start off with a firm foundation.

Essential Truths of the Christian Faith - R.C. Sproul

This book covers basic explanations for 100+ teachings of the Christian faith. 

Concise Theology - J.I. Packer

Theology matters. This book puts things in easy terms to help you get a foundation.

Expository Apologetics - Voddie Baucham Jr.

Aimed at preparing you to clearly and confidently defend your faith, Expository Apologetics sets forth an approach to apologetics that is rooted in Scripture and eminently accessible.

Mere Christianity - C.S. Lewis

A classic that all Christians should read. Christians do not forget the use of their minds when the start following Christ.

Apologetics

Apologetics is the study of defending what you believe. Part of being a Christian is being able to get a reason for the hope that is within you. 

Evangelism

Sharing the gospel is what every Christian is called to do, but how are we to do that? We could always use some advice.

One of the best-selling books of all time, John Bunyan's classic allegory will encourage and edify you greatly. 

The Art of Divine Contentment - Thomas Watson

In these days of craziness, we need a reminder to rest in the Lord. God is good and is still on his throne. We can rest in his arms and in his plan for the future.

Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus - Nabeel Qureshi

Pastor's Recommendation

These books fall into a multitude of categories but are well worth the read. Some are biographies, others are books on theology. All will help you grow in your knowledge and understanding of the Lord.
